Developmental Soccer League (DSL)

Where Play Meets Purpose Ages U10 through U15 | Ukiah, Willits, and Mendocino

The MCSA Developmental Soccer League is where Mendo kids come to play, grow, and fall in love with the game, regardless of skill level or experience. DSL is a key part of our MCSA Player Development Pathway, designed to meet every player right where they are.

Whether your player is just starting out or returning for another season, DSL is all about development, connection, confidence, and fun.

Fall 2026 Age Groups

Starting this fall, youth soccer moves to a new age-group cutoff from August 1 to July 31, replacing the previous calendar-year system. This change is adopted across US Club Soccer to better align players with their school-year classmates.

• U10 group: Born August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2018
• U12 group: Born August 1, 2014 to July 31, 2016
• U15 group: Born August 1, 2011 to July 31, 2014

Season at a Glance

• Season Dates: Mid-August through late October 2026
• Practice Schedule: Released in July once teams are formed
• Individual Fee: $150 - register by May 15 and save $10. A 3-payment plan is available to make it easy.

How It Works

Two practices per week in your hometown location plus Saturday games.

• The first practice of the week is led by a professional MCSA coach on the field with your players' full age group. Volunteer coaches train alongside their teams and learn the session firsthand.
• Later in the week, the volunteer coach runs the exact same session with their team. The plan is already built, they just run it.
• Saturday games rotate between Ukiah, Willits, and Mendocino. The season opens with a preseason tournament.

Uniform Info

Returning players from last season are all set, as you can use your uniform from last year. 2026 is year two of our two-year uniform kit cycle. New players will receive a uniform order link before the season begins. Kits include a royal blue home jersey, grey away jersey, shorts, and socks (approximately $75)
