It’s Tryout Season. Your Kid Belongs Here.

Every year, something happens on the fields in Mendocino County that doesn’t get enough credit. Kids who have never played competitive soccer show up nervous, give everything they have, and find out they’re capable of more than they knew. Kids who’ve been with us for years show up to prove they’ve grown. Both of them leave Eagles.

That’s what tryouts are. Not a gate. A beginning.

Tryouts for the 2026-27 MCSA Eagles Select season are open and they’re free to attend.

Whether your child is returning or stepping onto a competitive field for the first time, we want to see them. Our coaches are looking for athletes who are coachable, competitive, and hungry to grow. The rest we can build.

What Select looks like:

• Professional coaching from a staff that has played at the highest levels
• 3 practices per week
• Weekend league games at home and across NorCal
• A community that stays with your kid long after the season ends

New for 2026-27: Age Groups Have Changed

US Club Soccer has updated its age group guidelines nationwide. This is the biggest structural change to youth soccer age groupings in years and it affects every family. Do not assume your child is in the same group as last year. Find their birth year below before you register.

U8/U9 Boys and Girls — Born August 1, 2017 – July 31, 2019

• Monday 5/4 – 5:45–7:00 PM

U10 Boys — Born August 1, 2016 – July 31, 2017

• Tuesday 5/5 – 5:30–7:00 PM

U11/U12 Boys — Born August 1, 2014 – July 31, 2016

• Wednesday 5/6 – 5:30–7:00 PM

U10/U12 Girls — Born August 1, 2014 – July 31, 2017
